Who We Are

We are a Connecticut State approved private special education program (an “APSEP”) located in Stamford.

Take a Tour of Hubbard Day School

We have been operating special education schools and programs since 2003 and service children with autism as well as other behavioral challenges, developmental delays and learning disabilities.

We are a 1:1 program that provides individual staff support to each child every minute of every day in order to keep our students safe and on-task—whether it’s special education instruction or therapy services, including speech therapy, occupational therapy or behavioral therapy (i.e., ABA).

We are located in an entirely modernized special needs school building that is almost 20,000 square feet and all on the first floor. We have our own outdoor playground and state-of-the-art sensory gym.

Our brand new ADA facilities are conveniently located at 68 Southfield Avenue in Stamford, Connecticut—not far from the water but self-contained and safe for all children.

What Parents Say About Us!

Thank you for organizing your staff and welcoming our child yesterday for the tour. We realize he had a bit of an emotional moment, as he was overcome with being back in school. Your staff treated him with such kindness and patience. Your school is exemplary to what the future of special needs schools can be for kids like ours…. You should know out of all the schools we have seen (a lot), yours is far and beyond the best!

The outstanding, caring staff at Hubbard Day made the return to in-classroom learning for my son at a brand-new school a very gentle transition. As a parent, I am extremely grateful that communication and collaboration with staff is constant and a high priority. Throughout the pandemic, Hubbard Day has exceeded my expectation for providing a safe, positive learning environment for my child with demanding needs. Although he cannot speak, it is easy to see that my son loves going to school everyday as he runs with a smile to his van. I have the highest confidence in Hubbard’s adaptability to approach the challenging needs of his education.
